The Business Development/Account Manager shall address the Defense, Civil and Public Security domains in Philippines, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. He/She will be working closely with the Country Director to support Thales Group’s objectives within the assigned countries.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and end-users to position the full Thales portfolio, driving both short-term wins and long-term strategic opportunities.
  • Establish and nurture partnerships within the local industry ecosystem to strengthen Thales’ market presence and collaborative opportunities.
  • Develop and execute strategic Business Capture Plans in close collaboration with Thales Exporting Units, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Actively contribute to the identification and qualification of new business opportunities. Define and implement winning strategies supported by actionable plans. Participate in opportunity and tender reviews to maximise success rates.
  • Provide insights on market trends, competitive landscape, business risks and potential opportunities. Maintain and update business pipeline data, in coordination with Exporting Units.
  • Monitor and report on changes within customer organisations, including decision-making processes, to inform strategic engagement.
  • Support through-life system performance by collaborating on program execution, including maintenance, training, and other customer support activities.
  • Contribute to Thales’s strategy development and develop robust Key Account Plans to drive sustainable growth.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Business Development/Sales/Account Management.
  • Experience working with government and/or complex agencies. Experience in the defense industry is mandatory.
  • Proven experience in working within a large multi-national organisation, ideally European or Anglo-saxon organisations.
  • Experience and knowledge in hi-tech industry.
  • Significant experience in complex business dealings with geographically dispersed internal and external stakeholders.
  • Has experience working in or managing customers in Asia.
  • Highly motivated to operate in a complex business environment.
  • Strong business ethics.
  • Results-oriented, customer-focused, strategic, analytical, attention to detail and a team player.
  • Full fluency in English with excellent communication & writing skills.
