Roles & Responsibilities (WSHO)
Salary range: $5000 to $6500
Location: Central
Commencement: March 2026
Responsibilities
To evaluate WSH non-compliance, unsafe work conditions and practices to identify WSH performance gaps.
To conduct monthly WSH audit of the site works through monthly joint site inspection with project parties.
To review Contractor's submission of safety related documents.
To attend WSH incident investigations (including non-working hours when required) and to review investigation findings to identify root cause of incident.
To conduct monthly review of Contractor’s safety and health management systems and related documents as required under MOM WSH Act and related regulations, including advising the client on all matters related to Workplace Safety and Health as and when necessary.
To prepare and tabulate monthly reports relating to WSH matters such as statistic update, etc.
To attend monthly WSH committee meetings chaired by the Contractor and monthly Client WSH safety meeting with the Contractor and Client.
To attend quarterly safety campaigns and promotions organised by the Contractor.
To attend monthly safety site walk with Client.
To review incident report after the submission by Contractor and propose mitigating measures to avoid similar incident.
To liaise with relevant stakeholders on WSH related matters.
To submit a monthly WSH report advising the Client on WSH compliances, non-compliances and lapses; the effectiveness of the corresponding mitigating measures recommended by Contractor; and any additional mitigating measures to be taken by the Contractor.
To setup, monitor, update and close out the Health and Safety Register for the Works.

Requirements
Possess a valid registration with MOM as Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO).
Preferably with at least minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in WSH relating to engineering, construction planning.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Excellent decision, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Familiar with local regulatory requirements related to workplace safety and health, and all other aspects of safety.
Able to work independently under minimum supervision, within a dynamic work environment.
