Full Description
Productivity: Manage and direct the department non-routine and routine duties. Ensure all daily overtime, work and other production meetings are attended. Evaluate and assess the work performance of staff. MPA Approved Dock Master to carry out ship movement activities in Gul Yard, TNB & CNB. Other duties assigned by the Division Manager/Vice President Good to possess these skill Department daily operational activities Identify training needs for men under his charge Controlling of Dept budget, men-hours to prevent wastages and preparation of Capex Prepare team for Kaizen improvement Quality: To ensure all assigned jobs are completed before deadline and within budget Safety: Ensure and monitor the safety aspect of operational activities Ensure RA is being practiced on-site Conduct and review RA and Safety Workplan Enforce the use of appropriate PPEs for all staffs under his charge Enforce and check housekeeping for areas under his charge Enforce PTW system for all staffs under his charge Requirements: Diploma holder Dock Master to hold a valid Certificate of Competency Class 3 (Deck) Dock Master – Recognized by MPA as the yard’s Approved Dock Master Dock Master – preferably with sailing experience Able to prepare and interpret docking plan Able to prepare and conduct docking/undocking operations on Floating Dock Dock Master – To be recognized by MPA as the yard’s Approved Dock Master and be able to conduct yard’s internal movements confidently and independently To conduct ship movement Must be able to handle work pressure to meet deadline Good eyesight with no colour blindness Other Information: Location: Gul (Island-wide transport provided) 5 days work week Working Hours: 7.25am to 5.00pm
