Key Responsibilities Estimate Preparation: Review aircraft work packages, OEM manuals, and customer requirements to prepare detailed cost estimates. Calculate labor hours for airframe, engine, and component maintenance tasks. Determine material, tooling, and subcontractor costs for specialized repairs. Pricing & Analysis: Analyze historical maintenance data and vendor quotations to ensure accurate pricing. Prepare cost breakdowns and proposals for customer approval, including justifications for additional work. Coordination & Communication: Work closely with engineering, procurement, and production teams to validate estimates. Liaise with customers on scope changes, supplemental work, and revised quotations. Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all estimates comply with aviation regulatory requirements (e.g., EASA, FAA, CAAS). Maintain accurate records of estimates, revisions, and supporting documentation for audits. Continuous Improvement: Identify cost optimization opportunities and improve estimating processes. Stay updated on industry trends, aircraft maintenance standards, and cost structures. Qualifications & Skills Education: Diploma or Degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Aviation Maintenance, or related field. Experience: Minimum 3–5 years in estimating within an aviation MRO environment. Familiarity with aircraft maintenance programs and OEM documentation. Technical Skills: Strong understanding of airframe, engine, and component maintenance processes. Proficiency in MS Excel and MRO estimating tools/software. Soft Skills: Excellent analytical and numerical skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines. Effective communication and negotiation skills.
