Accountant

Job Description The Finance Executive will assist the Finance Manager/Assistant Finance Manager in ensuring the proper accounting and financial reporting for Fixed Assets, including effective operations of the general ledger, financial closing, financial and statutory reporting, internal controls, business processes and systems. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Job Description • Ensure timely and accurate recording of fixed assets including additions, disposals, retirements, impairment, and construction in progress. • Ensure assets are capitalized in accordance with accounting policies and in compliance with the Singapore Financial Reporting Standard (International) (SFRS(I)) or equivalent. • Conduct periodic asset verification exercise. • Conduct physical sighting for assets when needed. • Timely and accurate submission of monthly/quarterly reporting and audit schedules for fixed assets and Capex • Ensure timely follow-up with internal stakeholders in the clearance of outstanding items. • Support monthly/quarterly reporting including operational controls and reconciliation activities by providing offshore partner with relevant policies, procedures, and rules. • Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned. • Special projects as required. • Review and improvise existing processes. Qualifications Qualifications • Preferably at least 2 year’s experience in Finance. • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting. • Advantageous if ACCA or equivalent. • Advantageous if experience with audit. • Advantageous if experience with SAP or equivalent ERP system. • Meticulous, self-motivated, inquisitive, and resourceful. • Advantageous if experience in excel functions such as PIVOT, power query, macro, power BI. • Meticulous, self-motivated, inquisitive, and resourceful.
