RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain, monitor and ensure optimal operational status of the student and staff intranet content portals.
- Work closely with the business and academic units and assist web content owners with the creation, access control and maintenance of intranet sites within the intranet portals.
- Attend to operational tasks and requests from users and content admins, ranging from access requests to web development, site migrations, issues/bugs reported and escalate to the portal platform support vendor as necessary.
- Monitor and maintain operational performance of supported systems and put in place relevant governance and adhere to operational best practises.
- Understand and implement information security management and data management best practises to maintain the security and integrity of the systems.
- Using scripts or tools to run and automate reviews of site access permissions, site activities and ensure operations are running based on documented standard operating procedures.
- Assess and promote effective use of appropriate 3rd party tools/solutions to address critical business requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma / Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in web-based application development and intranet site/server administration.
- Strong technical skills and development experience with HTML, CSS, JQuery, Node.js, Typescript, React frameworks.
- SharePoint SPFx framework and/or Node.js, C#/.NET, PowerShell.
- Administration, configuration of SharePoint Online, related Microsoft 365 apps and Azure services like Active Directory/ADFS, Microsoft Forms & the Power Platform, Azure services like CosmoDB, Azure Functions, Entra ID.
- Information security best practises & governance for SharePoint, .NET and Microsoft 365 environments.
- Ability to work well alone as well as in a multi-disciplinary team environment and directly with business lines outside of IT.
- Strong written and communication skills, including the ability to convey complex technical concepts in non-technical terms.
- Provide user training and develop user guides and technical documentation for supported systems, for all phases of systems / projects within area of responsibility.
- Adopt an agile approach to operational and project tasks.
