This role is designed for a mid-senior professional who brings strong technical expertise in climate adaptation and water resilience, combined with an ability to engage clients, contribute to strategic advisory work, and help shape innovative solutions for cities and communities across the region.

You will play a key role in delivering high‑quality technical work, deepening client relationships, and supporting business development across APAC.

Key Responsibilities:

Multidisciplinary Collaboration:

  • Collaborate closely with engineers, hydrologists, GIS specialists, and environmental experts to ensure integrated and multidisciplinary approaches to projects.
  • Facilitate teamwork and knowledge sharing across various domains.
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing within Ramboll’s water, climate, and sustainability communities.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Engage regularly with clients, presenting technical findings in a clear and confident manner.
  • Build strong, trust‑based relationships with government agencies, development partners, and private‑sector clients across APAC.
  • Coordinate and contribute to workshops, consultations, and co‑creation sessions with stakeholders.

Compliance and Standards:

  • Ensure all project deliverables comply with industry standards, guidelines, and client specifications.
  • Uphold high levels of professional standards and quality in all aspects of work.

Client Engagement and Business Development:

  • Actively engage with clients to understand their needs, develop tailored solutions, and maintain long-term relationships.
  • Identify and pursue business development opportunities, preparing proposals, and participating in client presentations to secure new projects.
  • Work closely with the business development team to align engineering capabilities with market demands.

Team Management:

  • Manage and mentor a team of engineers, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
  • Lead project teams, ensuring effective communication, coordination, and delivery of high-quality work.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment that encourages innovation and excellence.

 

    Qualifications:

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Water Resources, Environmental Science, or a related field; a Master’s degree is advantageous.
    • Typically 15 - 18 years of experience in climate adaptation, water resilience, or integrated water planning roles.
    • Demonstrated experience in conducting climate‑risk or water‑management studies in urban or coastal contexts.
    • Familiarity with climate‑hazard modelling concepts (hydrological, hydraulic, coastal), though not focused exclusively on detailed modelling.
    • Ability to translate technical analysis into clear recommendations for policymakers and clients.
    • Strong communication skills, with experience engaging clients and facilitating stakeholder discussions.
    • Track record of supporting proposals or business development activities.
    • Experience working in Southeast Asia or APAC markets is an advantage.
