This role supports the Lead, Finance Business Partner function by providing detailed financial analysis, advanced modeling, and in-depth business investigation to enable data-driven decision-making. The Finance Business Partner will focus on building robust financial models, conducting in-depth business financial analyses, and delivering actionable insights to support strategic initiatives within the insurance business. This role works closely with the Finance Business Partner and cross-functional teams to drive performance excellence.Job Description:
Financial Analysis & Modeling
- Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to support business planning, product development, and strategic initiatives
- Conduct detailed variance analysis and trend identification to explain business performance drivers
- Build scenario and sensitivity analyses to assess financial impacts of business decisions and market changes
Business Investigation & Insight
- Conduct deep-dive analyses into business performance, identifying root causes of variances and emerging trends
- Investigate financial and operational anomalies, providing evidence-based recommendations
- Analyze product profitability, customer behavior, and portfolio performance to support strategic decision-making
- Collaborate with actuarial, underwriting, and operations teams to validate assumptions and improve forecasting accuracy
Planning & Forecasting Support
- Support the budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes by preparing detailed analysis and financial inputs
- Assist in developing management reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership
- Maintain and enhance analytical tools, databases, and reporting frameworks
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all financial reporting and analysis
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with the Finance Business Partner to support stakeholder engagement and business partnering activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Actuarial, Product, Distribution, and Customer
- Present findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders as required
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to enhance financial modeling techniques, analytical processes, and reporting efficiency
- Contribute to the development of best practices within the Finance Performance Management team

Working Experience
- Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in financial analysis, actuarial analysis, or financial planning & analysis, preferably within the life insurance industry
- Proven experience in conducting experience analyses (e.g., mortality, lapse, expense studies)
- Strong background in financial modeling and quantitative analysis
Education
- Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or Accountancy
- Progress toward or completion of actuarial/accountancy professional qualifications (e.g., ASA, FSA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent) is highly preferred
Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including financial modeling and complex formulas
- Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Power BI, Tableau)
- Familiarity with actuarial software and insurance financial systems is a plus
