Full Description

The Student and Academic Services Department (SASD) provides comprehensive support across the student life cycle—from admission and matriculation to graduation and beyond. SASD works closely with schools, colleges, and autonomous institutes to ensure a seamless and enriching academic journey. Within SASD, the Student Affairs Office (SAO) plays a central role in shaping student life through leadership development, student-led activities, residential life, integration efforts, community engagement, arts, and sports.

The ideal candidate manages key components of the Leadership Academy, focusing on foundational and emergent leadership development, global leadership opportunities, ambassador training, and student awards. 


Key Responsibilities
Leadership Development Programmes 

  • Lead the annual review and design of the compulsory E module of Foundational Leadership Programme in consultation with management, serving approximately 6,500 freshmen each year.

  • Conduct needs analysis and design leadership training for student leaders under the Emergent Leadership Programme, covering onboarding, leadership, and handover programmes.

  • Lead the end to end design and administration of a foundational training programme for nominated NTU student ambassadors across Schools/Offices. 

  • Collaborate with the Team Lead to support advanced leadership development initiatives for selected students

  • Maintain data analysis on student leadership to support learning needs assessments and to plan for other leadership development initiatives, where appropriate.

  • Manage the Global Leadership Experience programme, including both external and overseas leadership opportunities, the publicity, shortlisting, preparation, risk assessment, trip mentoring, post trip reviews, and finance disbursement.

  • Administer student leadership awards annually, covering publicity, selection, and exhibition processes.

Requirements

  • Degree in any discipline with at least six years of relevant experience in student engagement or student development areas. 

  • Experience in youth and leadership development sectors is advantageous.

  • Strong pedagogical expertise, with proven ability to design and facilitate impactful learning experiences.

  • Demonstrated event management and organizational skills, with keen attention to detail.

  • Established track record in stakeholder management.

  • During the academic term, candidates may be required to support student events held on weekday evenings or weekends. Appropriate time-off will be granted accordingly.
