Established in 1981, the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) https://www.ntu.edu.sg/eee is one of the founding Schools of the Nanyang Technological University. Built on a culture of excellence, the School is renowned for its high academic standards and research. It is one of the largest EEE schools in the world, with more than 120 faculty members and an enrolment of more than 4,000, of which about 1,000 are graduate students. We invite applications for the position of Assistant Manager, Business Operations Management. The incumbent shall assist in driving operational excellence across multiple business units in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. 

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Digitalisation & Process Innovation: Lead the digital transformation of administrative workflows, converting manual/PDF processes into automated solutions using Microsoft Forms, Power Automate, and related tools. Identify inefficiencies, design streamlined solutions, and implement sustainable, digital-first processes to enhance operational efficiency.

  • Data Analytics & Reporting: Collect, maintain, and analyse graduate student data on enrolment, progress, and outcomes. Develop dashboards to monitor programme performance and prepare clear, data-driven reports and presentation decks for School leadership to support decision-making.

  • Marketing & Outreach: Assist in promoting NTU EEE graduate research programmes by preparing publicity materials (brochures, web content, social media), coordinating online/onsite information sessions, outreach events, and campaigns, and supporting international recruitment initiatives to improve student quality and diversity.

  • Graduate Student Administration: Provide administrative support for admissions, candidature, QE, thesis submission, and graduation processes. Assist faculty and students with programme-related queries and coordinate with central offices to ensure compliance with NTU policies, contributing to smooth and timely student processes.

  • Strong organisational, analytical, and planning skills with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to engage faculty, students, management, and external partners.

  • Meticulous, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.

  • High learning agility, adaptability, and problem-solving capability.

  • Digital literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Acrobat) and familiarity with workflow automation tools such as Power Automate.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Education, or related fields.

  • At least 3 years of relevant administrative or digital transformation experience, preferably in higher education.

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.

  • IT-savvy; experience in workflow automation, dashboards, and basic scripting knowledge (e.g., JavaScript) is an advantage.
