Dispute Resolution Team - SingaporeJob Description
We're Norton Rose Fulbright - a global law firm with over 50 offices and 7,000 employees worldwide. We provide the world’s preeminent corporations and financial institutions with a full business law service. At Norton Rose Fulbright, our strategy and our culture are closely entwined. We know that our expansion will mean little unless it is underpinned by truly global collaboration and we understand that pioneering work only takes place when our people have room to move and think beyond boundaries. As well as the relevant skills and experience, we're looking for people who are innovative, commercial and value the work that they do.
We are looking for a Junior Associate to join our market leading International Arbitration team based in Singapore.
The role will primarily involve work in international commercial arbitrations as well as associated contentious / pre-dispute advisory work. This is mostly SIAC and ICC arbitration seated in Singapore under a variety of applicable laws (Singapore, England & Wales and others). The role involves work across a broad range of sectors, including energy (oil & gas, renewables, power generation), FMCG, commodities, infrastructure, telecoms, technology and financial institutions.
We are looking for a Junior Associate with strong technical knowledge and drafting skills, who is able to manage matters with appropriate levels of supervision. Collegiality is important with this role being part of a wider international arbitration team across offices. The work is generally international in nature and frequently involves a cross-cultural aspect.
Skills and Experience Required
- NQ to 2 years PQE, qualified ideally in Singapore or England & Wales but we are open to applicants qualified in other jurisdictions, including civil law countries.
- Strong academic background.
- A confirmed interest in furthering a career as a specialist international arbitration lawyer.
- First class legal and drafting skills.
- Meticulous attention to details, ability to work under pressure and an excellent team player.
- Ideally qualifying at a leading law firm with experience in complex, high stakes disputes. This is a specialist arbitration team but applicants who have started their careers with a mix of commercial litigation and international arbitration are also encouraged to apply.
- An interest in oral advocacy experience is advantageous but not necessary at this level.
The application window will close on 27 February 2026.
