Maker Lab supports clients across technology, entertainment, financial services and the payments industry. We’re looking for dynamic individuals to join our team and support our amazing clients in the tech industry.

This role, serving as a Social Media Lead, involves building and executing the social media strategy for a major technology company, with a focus on driving brand love, advocacy, and community. The individual must excel in strategic planning, content development, and operational support, and possess a keen understanding of market relevance. The role requires flexibility (social media strategist, project manager, community manager) and a proactive approach to experimenting with new methods for disruptive and impactful social engagement within a regional team.  B2B experience is an imperative for this role. 



Role: 

  • Plan, refine and execute the social strategy, covering but not limited to the following: Always-on content, campaigns, employee advocacy and influencer programs.
  • Work closely and be a trusted counsel for internal and external stakeholders when it comes to social amplification efforts and plans.
  • Lead and oversee the content development and curation efforts for social calendars, including the editorial calendar, copywriting and publishing for social channels.
  • Exercise due diligence and ensure that all activities on social media are fit-for-market, meet local needs and capture local nuances.
  • Ensure and preserve the sanctity of the client’s brand for all forms of delivery through social media - be it copy, creatives and/or any other forms of engagement.
  • Review and report on owned content performance and learnings, along with proactive sharing of best-in-class practices on social media and competitive intelligence.
  • Lead performance audits and reviews, and provide direction to social media and engagement strategies and tactics for India.
  • Monitor trends, social listening insights, and platform updates to keep the brand ahead of the curve.
  • Manage reporting, social performance tracking, and continuous optimisation to drive measurable results.



You:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of experience in tech, marketing or related industry and a proven track record in social media strategy and management
  • Strong understanding of social platforms and audience behaviour.
  • A strategic and creative thinker who can navigate the ever-evolving social landscape
  • Proven ability to develop and execute social strategies that drive engagement and growth.
  • Data-driven mindset — comfortable analysing metrics and turning insights into actions.
  • Able to positively influence diverse stakeholders and galvanise them on the social agenda and mission of the brand
  • Ability to work with local and geographically dispersed stakeholders to deliver clear instructions and directions
  • Solid project management experience, with an ability to bring both order and attention to detail
  • Experience with social media publishing tools like Sprinklr
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop
  • Background in B2B/technology space is preferred
  • Proficiency with social media management/scheduling tools (Buffer, Hootsuite, Sprout Social) and analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite). 
  • Exceptional verbal and written English communication and presentation skills and - ideally - fluent in another Asian language to cover projects across APAC.
