The Junior Market Analyst (Rotational) role provides flexible, cross-commodity analytical coverage to ensure continuity of core validation and QA workflows across the Oil & Chemicals Market Data team. The Rotational Analyst is an adaptable resource that can be redeployed based on shifting business priorities, allowing exposure across markets and the opportunity to develop the skills required for future senior and specialised analytical positions.
Your mission is to::
  • Provide day-to-day validation and quality assurance support across multiple commodity datasets as part of a rotational program.
  • Maintain continuity of core workflows during analyst absences, ensuring consistent delivery of validated data and outputs.
  • Quickly onboard onto new commodity areas to deliver accurate, timely data processing and validation.
  • Support data investigations, anomaly detection, and issue resolution to safeguard product quality.
  • Collaborate with other analysts to understand key methodologies, assumptions, and data pipelines.
  • Document processes and maintain clear handover notes to ensure seamless transitions between rotations.
  • Assist in short-term analytical tasks, research, or coverage needs arising from shifting business priorities.
  • Contribute to improving validation processes and identifying efficiency opportunities.
  • Establish potential improvements and automations of processes and workflows.
