Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
The Product Install Engineer is responsible for the on-site installation, setup, and qualification of advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment at customer facilities. This role ensures that systems are installed according to specifications, meet performance requirements, and are handed over to customer teams in fully operational condition. The Install Engineer works closely with cross‑functional teams, including field service, engineering, and customer support, to deliver high‑quality, timely installations in cleanroom environments.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Installation & Setup
- Perform mechanical, electrical, and software installation of semiconductor tools at customer sites.
- Execute system bring-up, calibration, and functional testing.
- Interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and installation documentation.
- Ensure all installation tasks comply with safety procedures and industry standards.
System Qualification
- Conduct system diagnostics, verification tests, and performance qualification.
- Troubleshoot installation issues and coordinate with engineering teams to resolve technical challenges.
- Document test results and ensure systems meet performance specifications before handoff.
Customer Interaction
- Serve as the primary on-site technical contact during installation.
- Provide customer training on basic system operation as part of the handover process.
- Communicate progress, risks, and timelines to internal stakeholders and customer teams.
Project Execution
- Manage time, resources, and tasks to meet installation project schedules.
- Support continuous improvement of installation processes and documentation.
- Collaborate with global teams to ensure alignment with product updates and best practices.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, or related technical field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
- Experience with semiconductor manufacturing equipment or high‑precision electromechanical systems.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, and software domains.
- Ability to work in cleanroom environments and follow strict EHS procedures.
- Willingness to travel extensively and work at customer sites.
