JOB DESCRIPTION
The Programme Manager is responsible for strategic planning, master programming, stakeholder management, resource planning, risk mitigation, and ensuring the successful delivery of multiple data centre projects within a programme or specific campus.
The Programme Manager will align the projects within the programme with the organisation’s objectives, optimize resource utilization and deliver value through supply networks, master service agreements, innovation, enhancing functional and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities include:
Strategic leadership:
Strategic alignment of the Programme Schedule with business goals
Overseeing the full programme of projects with the goals of economies of scale and efficiency creation
Collaborate with Stakeholders, communication & reporting, addressing concerns
Master programming:
Create a master programme schedule that considers connections between individual projects and maximises efficiency of resources incl. consultants, contractors, suppliers and internal PM team, and Infrastructure departments
Creating the baseline for each individual project schedule and integrate the work of each consultant, contractor, subcontractor and suppliers.
Understanding how each activity in each project phase connects and affects others in the programme
Risk management:
Developing a program-level risk management plan
Risk identification, analysis and mitigation platform
Organisation and Communication:
Establishing communication systems and guidelines such as a RACI chart so that each person involved in the program is clear of their responsibilities for each activity and informed accordingly.
Establishing consistent Project Planning templates and language that integrate/align with the Programme Plan including:
Project Stages and activities
Key Milestones
Critical Path
Contractor and Supplier Vendor efficiencies
Lead the coordination with project managers to ensure that optimal project execution and timing for maximum benefit
Evaluating individual project schedules within the programme to determine res-design or rescheduling as necessary
Procurement:
Build and maintain a supply network, including but not limited to: prequalifying general contractors, design consultants, safety consultants, quantity surveyors and HSE consultants/service providers, suppliers of all critical environment equipment, and long lead items
Negotiate Master Service Agreements
Procurement Management
Financial management:
Contribute to establishing individual budget estimates from Master Service Agreements
Plan project cashflows
Establish and monitor Anticipate Final Cost for each project against budgets
