RESPONSIBILITIES

This role works closely with stakeholders across multiple geographies i.e. Singapore, Japan and London.

Secondee Management

  • Act as the main contact person to support day-to-day administrative matters relating to secondees from JERAGM Group companies and/or affiliated entities
  • Respond to queries from secondees in line with the Global Mobility Policy and JERAGM Group Companies’ policies, guidelines and procedures
  • Coordinate onboarding, relocation and offboarding logistics for secondees, including document preparation and coordination with internal teams
  • Coordinate routine communication with JERA Group HR on secondee-related administrative matters and provide regular updates to JERAGM HR teams
  • Provide support on secondee employee relations (ER) matters, such as preparing documentation, scheduling meetings and maintaining case records, under HR Business Partner’s supervision
  • Act as the first contact point handling any concerns or complaints made by secondees with respect to their or their families’ assignment to JERAGM Singapore or other office as the case may be; collaborating with JERAGM HR and also JERA Co as required

General HR Support

  • Provide general HR administrative and coordination support, including but not limited to onboarding/offboarding logistics, document management and data entry into HR systems
  • Assist with scheduling interviews, coordinating interview logistics, and supporting recruitment administration
  • Assist with HR projects in line with the broader HR objectives, and ad-hoc tasks to support the broader business and HR team
  • Contribute to the preparation of management presentations, budgeting and strategic planning activities, providing insights and support for data-based decision-making

Specific Support

  • Contribute to the human resource planning and operational support of JERAGM’s electricity trading subsidiary in Tokyo, Japan (JERAGM Japan), which was established in 2025
  • Play an active role in the management of secondees in JERAGM (including JERAGM Japan), supporting end-to-end people processes including performance management, reviews, potential transfers, employee survey and feedback initiatives
  • Facilitate cross-subsidiary human resource opportunities with 100% JERA owned subsidiaries based in Singapore, such opportunities to potentially include joint training and educational initiatives, joint employee events, joint communication of relevant employment law changes to JERA Headquarters in Japan and joint liaison with Japanese professionals, associations or community groups in Singapore commonly used by JERA secondees, (e.g. Japanese schools, expatriate organizations, tax advisors etc)
  • Generally, coordinate and align strategic HR Planning at JERAGM with HR strategic planning conducted by JERA Co., Inc., particularly in respect to the local implementation of such relevant global HR initiatives as may be launched by JERA Co., Inc.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in HR, business partnering, or a related role within the Japanese fuel markets or utilities companies is required, as the candidate needs to understand the complexities of this industry as well as the relevant regulatory, operational, and commercial dynamics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Understanding of HR processes is required; secondment or mobility exposure is a plus.
  • This role works closely with stakeholders across multiple geographies i.e. Singapore, Japan and London hence Japanese language proficiency (JLPT N1) or similar is required to be able to communicate and build a good relationship of trust with Japanese colleagues who are important stakeholders internally and externally
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to understand and convey complex information accurately and effectively in English and Japanese to liaise with, participate in meetings, especially to strengthen the relationships with our Japan shareholder company and business counterparts daily
  • Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills to manage external and internal stakeholders with confidence and professionalism

  • Maturity and discretion to handle all information with a high level of confidentiality and care, demonstrating strong communications skills when navigating sensitive matters
