Job Description:
- Perform daily finance operations and regulatory BAU, including journal entries, bank and broker reconciliations, client money segregation and risk-based capital computation.
- Support month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
- Prepare and submit regulatory and tax filings, including MAS returns, GST returns and Corporate Income Tax returns.
- Liaise with external auditor and tax consultants for audit and tax matters.
- Support other finance-related ad-hoc assignments as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field, with professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW or equivalent).
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in audit, financial reporting and/or regulatory reporting for a securities or capital markets firm.
- Good understanding of MAS regulatory requirements applicable to Capital Markets Services (CMS) licensees.
- Good understanding of financial products relating to bonds, securities and derivatives
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Mandarin is required to liaise with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
