Key Responsibilities:
Lead the setup, configuration, and optimization of the commodity trading and electronic booking platform for the Singapore subsidiary.
Execute daily trading and market-making for commodity derivatives, managing risk and P&L.
Cover a broad mandate: Ferrous & Bulk Commodities, Energy (Oil & Gas), Base Metals, and Agricultural Products (Ags), across both onshore (e.g., China) and offshore markets.
Own daily P&L calculation, reporting, and reconciliation with Market Risk and Product Control teams.
Ensure accurate trade booking and lead daily reconciliation processes with Operations.
Prepare and deliver routine business performance reports to Business Management.
Work strategically with the Sales team to grow the client franchise, providing expert market insight and structured solutions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Financial Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
Minimum of 8 years of direct commodity derivatives trading experience.
Deep understanding of global commodity markets, with a strong network of industry contacts.
Essential: Full professional proficiency in both Mandarin and English.
Self-motivated with a strong teamwork ethos and a proven ability to thrive in a high-pressure trading environment.
