What a POM Operation Supervisor does at HP:
- Accounts for manufacturing activities for multiple POM products, ensuring that performance meets regional or global business requirements.
- Manages a team of higher-level non-exempt individual contributors who typically support moderately complex daily work activities.
- Manages essential business-critical processes like standard operating procedures, S4 material ordering, business scorecards, dashboards, etc.
- Identifies opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency improvements and collaborates with teams to implement changes.
- Develops and manages the manufacturing budget, including cost control and expenditure tracking on OME and ETS.
- Ensures accurate inventory records and minimizes excess or obsolete inventory.
- Works closely with other departments, such as engineering, quality assurance, logistics, and maintenance, to achieve common goals.
- Performs talent management responsibilities, including recruitment, performance management, coaching and career development.
- Ensures compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry-specific requirements.
Individuals who do well in this role at HP, usually possess:
- Diploma in supply chain management, manufacturing engineering, operations management, or any other related discipline, commensurate work experience, or demonstrated competence.
- For candidates applying for the associate manager position, We are looking for a typical 4-7 years of job-related experience or 2-4 years of management experience, preferably in manufacturing operations, supply chain, or a related field.
- Preferred Certifications in SAP Certification and Lean Six Sigma.
- Has knowledge and skills in Workflow Management, Warehousing and Technical Support, Supply Chain, SAP Applications, Purchasing, Project Management, Process Improvement, New Product Development, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Inventory Management, Fabrication, Data Analysis, Chemistry, Business Process, Automation, Has knowledge & skills in Agile Methodology.
- Has experienced in Cross-Org Skills, Customer Centricity.
