What a College Intern - Data Analyst (Manufacturing and Supply Chain) does at HP:
- Develop and improve systems that enables Singapore-based teams to effectively manage factories in the region and serve as a supply chain control tower.
- Phase 1 (Show) - Real time display of manufacturing line KPIs, anytime, anywhere:
- Enable frictionless visibility of performance metrics such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness(OEE), downtime, yield and quality.
- Database query, cleansing, processing, visualising and analysis.
- Phase 2 (Sense) - Alert system for equipment health, material and critical process:
- Equipment vitals monitoring and alerts for anticipated component failure repair/ replacement.
- Raw Material Alert System for quality deviation detection and improvement.
- Real time Critical Process deviation Alarm for pre-disaster intervention.
- Phase 3 (Suggest) - Deploy AI/Analytics to identify opportunity for operational improvement:
- Apply AI to recommend how to improve business metrics such as scrap costs, shipment changes.
Individuals who do well in this role at HP, usually possess:
- Students in Industrial and Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science and Analytics, Business Analytics or Operations & Supply Chain Management are preferred. Year 3 and 4 students will be prioritised.
- Able to commit for a 5-6 months full-time internship, starting in May 2026 or later.
- Strong desire to create solutions and enable outcomes.
- Key skillsets: Python, Microsoft Power Platform, SQL.
- Analytical and problem solving capability.
- Good communication skills and learning agility.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and contribute to collaborative projects.
- Attention to detail such as code quality, documentation, and error handling.
