Full Description

The Operations Lead supports and executes the firm's day-to-day non-investment operations, ensuring smooth execution of trading, technology operations, compliance processes, vendor coordination, and operational workflows.

This role requires a detail-oriented, proactive operator with an understanding of hedge fund processes and familiarity with or strong interest in the crypto ecosystem.

You'll report directly to the COO and work closely with both senior leadership and cross-functional teams to maintain operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Execution:

  • Execute and monitor core business operations including trade lifecycle processes, data management, compliance procedures, and vendor coordination
  • Support workflow optimization between research, trading, compliance, and technology teams
  • Assist in cross-functional projects focused on process improvement and automation
  • Track and report on operational KPIs and process metrics

Crypto Operations:

  • Support wallet management workflows (hot, cold, MPC custody) and settlement processes
  • Monitor and document staking, bridging, and smart contract interactions
  • Execute trade lifecycle processes: trade capture, margin tracking, settlements, and reconciliation
  • Support operational security initiatives

Technology & Infrastructure Support:

  • Coordinate with engineering teams on trading infrastructure maintenance, system monitoring, and incident documentation
  • Support business continuity testing and documentation
  • Assist in implementing and maintaining middle/back office technology platforms/processes

Middle & Back Office Operations/Analysis:

  • Execute post-trade processes including daily reconciliations, margin management, collateral monitoring, and trade settlements
  • Help ensure data accuracy across fund admin, prime broker, and custody partners
  • Maintain internal dashboards and operational reporting and procedures

Investor Operations Support:

  • Support client onboarding, reporting preparation, and investor communications
  • Assist with operational due diligence materials for prospective investors
  • Help communicate operational processes and controls as needed

Requirements

  • 8-12 years of experience in operations within hedge funds, trading firms, or crypto financial services
  • Solid understanding of financial markets, trading systems, trading operations, and operational risks
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and communication skills
  • Systematic mindset and self-sufficient approach to analysis and investigations
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments and manage multiple priorities
  • Proven track record of process execution and continuous improvement
  • Bachelor's degree required; finance, technical, or business education preferred
  • Python or equivalent programming competency is a strong plus
