We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Corporate Communications & PR to lead regional media strategy, narrative development, and reputation management across Asia and Europe. This role shapes DayOne’s international voice and directly supports senior leadership on high-impact and cross-border communications matters.
Role Summary
This is a senior-level corporate communications role responsible for defining, protecting, and amplifying DayOne’s global narrative. The role covers:
· Media relations
· Press releases / statements / Q&A
· Crisis & issues management
· Strategic comms planning across multiple markets
· Narrative framing & management
· Media monitoring & intelligence
You will work closely with senior leadership and country teams to ensure DayOne’s corporate messaging is consistent and strategic across all markets.
Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Corporate Communications
· Develop and lead regional corporate communications strategies and shape corporate narratives that strengthen DayOne’s reputation across Asia and Europe.
· Collaborate with GMs, tech teams, and the CEO Office to ensure message consistency across markets.
2. Media Relations & PR
· Build and manage strong relationships with tier-1 business, tech, and trade media across our markets.
· Own all press releases, media statements, media responses, and proactive pitching.
· Coordinate background briefings, media roundtables, and interviews for senior leaders.
· Manage PR agencies and ensure alignment to DayOne’s global positioning.
3. Issues & Crisis Communications
· Lead development of crisis playbooks, issue-specific messaging, and escalation processes.
· Respond rapidly to sensitive inquiries and guide on risk mitigation, narrative control, and media strategy during high-impact situations.
4. Narrative Management & Messaging Development
· Craft CEO talking points, speeches, op-eds, commentary, and long-form corporate messaging.
· Define messaging frameworks for new market entries, groundbreakings, strategic agreements, ESG initiatives, and major corporate milestones.
· Integrate policy and regulatory intelligence into public-facing communications.
5. Monitoring & Insights
• Lead multi-market media monitoring and intelligence to identify reputational risks and emerging opportunities. • Produce concise, insight-driven updates for senior leadership on media sentiment and narrative trends. • Track industry, policy, and geopolitical developments relevant to DayOne.
Qualifications:
Required
· 8–12 years in corporate communications, PR, or strategic communications, preferably in:
o data centers
o cloud/hyperscale/tech
o telecom
o energy/infra
o or other regulated or complex industries
· Strong experience in multi-market media relations and handling international journalists.
· Exceptional writing and editorial skills for high-stakes communications.
· Proven experience managing crisis and high-stakes issues.
· Strong editorial judgement and ability to simplify complex technical or regulatory topics.
· Confidence and maturity in working directly with senior executives.
· Experience coordinating across multiple markets and time zones.
· Experience with policy-related communications or public affairs topics.
