About the Role
We’re looking for an Internal Communications Specialist to own and run our internal communications engine. This is a hands-on role focused on execution, planning, and consistency—ensuring our people receive the right messages, at the right time, in the right format.
This role will take ownership of our newsletter, communication calendar, internal campaigns, and communication network, working closely with HR, internal stakeholders, and the Internal Risk & Control team to ensure messages are clear, timely, and well-coordinated.
This is not a pure writing role. It’s a planning + delivery role for someone who knows how to keep communication moving smoothly across a year, not just across a week.
What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)
Newsletter Ownership & Core Communication Delivery
- Own the end-to-end delivery of the internal newsletter (planning, writing, editing, publishing)
- Gather content from stakeholders and translate updates into clear, engaging messages
- Maintain consistency in tone, voice, and clarity across communications
Communication Planning & Calendar Management
- Build and manage the annual internal communication calendar
- Coordinate timing of messages to avoid overload and clashes
- Work with HR, Internal Risk & Control, and business teams to plan key communications across the year
Campaign & Event Communication
- Plan and run 2–3 internal campaigns per year (culture, engagement, awareness, change initiatives)
- Support communication for internal events, milestones, and key moments
- Ensure campaigns are executed smoothly across channels
Internal Communication Network
- Build and manage a network of communication partners across teams
- Coordinate inputs, deadlines, and approvals to keep communication flowing
- Act as the central point of contact for internal communication requests
Collaboration & Execution
- Work closely with HR and Internal Risk & Control to communicate policy, process, and compliance updates clearly
- Ensure sensitive messages are delivered accurately and thoughtfully
- Track delivery, follow-up, and completion of key communications
Who You Are
- A practical, execution-focused internal communications professional
- Comfortable running newsletters, calendars, and campaigns with minimal supervision
- Organized, structured, and reliable—you like making chaos behave
- Strong writer and editor with good judgement on tone and clarity
- Confident working with multiple stakeholders and managing inputs
- Calm with deadlines and competing priorities
Preferred Background
- 3–5 years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or content roles
- Open to candidates with 2–3 years of experience who have owned newsletters or comms planning
- Experience managing communication calendars and multi-stakeholder inputs
- Experience running internal campaigns or engagement initiatives
- Comfortable working with HR, Risk, or Compliance teams
- Experience using digital communication and design tools (Canva, etc.)
What You’ll Gain
- Ownership of internal communication delivery, not just support work
- Real experience running campaigns, calendars, and enterprise communications
- Strong exposure to HR and internal governance communications
- Portfolio-ready work with visible impact in 3 months
