Critical Tasks and Expected Contributions/Results:

  • Responsible for maintaining and enhancing suite of product features on behalf of Singapore product team, including but not limited to

    • Modifiable vs non modifiable aspects of product

    • Projected impacts for each modifiable product aspect (financial, operational, risk, compliance etc.)

    • Assessing availability of appropriate internal and/or external resources/partners required to deliver specific product modifications

    • Removing/replacing outdated/non beneficial aspects of product offerings

  • Key collaborator with Business Development Team, Client Management Team, Underwriters, Actuarial, Operations, Network and D&A teams to work on plan design review, product proposals for new clients & renewals. Present compelling, data-backed proposals for product modifications (both additions and reductions) matched to client primary concerns of cost, access, quality and/or utilization. Highlight clear benefits and trade-offs of any product related modifications requested or chosen by brokers and clients.

  • Work closely with Client Managers to be involved in regular client/broker meetings, acting in an advocate/educator role in helping clients and brokers understand the impacts of product elements chosen on claims experience, while continuing to prepare for renewal cycles.

  • Horizon scanning & competitor analysis of product offerings. Identifying potential external partners to complement SG product offerings, based on in-depth knowledge of client needs.

  • Serves as point of contact for group proposition for all aspect global H&W solution such as but not limited to EAP solution.

  • Coordination for all tender activities, including RFP exercises for new and existing business, broker surveys and due diligence checks by prospect.

  • Design, source, evaluate and deliver structured Health and Wellness solutions and initiatives.

  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of business case for health and wellness opportunities to senior management.

  • Own vendor relationship, including negotiation of favourable terms with vendors on existing and new Health & Wellness initiatives, socialising with internal stakeholder and implementation of new initiatives.

  • Provide support for ad-hoc strategic initiatives and overall product strategy.

Experience/Knowledge, Education and Other Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in a health discipline(s) or business management

  • 5+ years’ experience working in the health industry, preferably familiar with healthcare or product management e.g. case management, disease management, population management, product management

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills and the ability to effectively interact with all levels of management and external vendors

  • Solid practical work experience in the health and wellness or product management area

  • Demonstrated ability to work across a large and cultural diverse group

  • Customer-oriented, Sales and business development experience is preferred

  • Familiarity with local and regional health and wellness industry and trends preferred
