[What the role is]
The Building and Construction Authority (BCA) champions the development of a future ready built environment for Singapore. Besides regulating building safety, we lead and transform the built environment sector in delivering a safe, high quality, sustainable and friendly built environment.We are looking for resourceful, energetic and self-motivated individuals who are inspired to play an active role to make a difference to Singapore’s built environment.
[What you will be working on]
Drive strategic partnership development and stakeholder engagement initiatives to strengthen Built Environment firm capabilities and competitiveness through bespoke capability development programmes and leadership/foresight events.
Conduct comprehensive market analysis and leverage data driven insights to inform partnership strategy development and programme design.
Cultivate and manage strategic partnerships with industry leaders, professional associations, government agencies, institutions and international organisations.
Pro-actively engage with targeted decision makers to deep-dive into firms’ growth plan and capability development needs, facilitate strategic connections, mobilise relevant resources to support enterprise capability development, and create opportunities for knowledge exchange.
Drive cross-functional collaboration to co-curate and co-deliver bespoke training programmes that directly address firm’s transformational needs and emerging skill requirements.
Curate and organsze high-level leadership events including the annual BCA-Industry Workplan Seminar to cultivate thought leadership and drive strategic foresight among industry leaders.
Beyond the primary responsibilities, the successful candidate may contribute to broader team objectives through
Building relationship with built environment ecosystem stakeholders to strengthen Built Environment Innovation Hub (BEIH) network and opportunities to co-create innovations.
Collaborating with relevant line groups across the organisation on campus wide innovation and partnership programmes, to optimize outcomes of BEIH. This can include co-organising events, facilitating research project, test-bedding initiatives, setting up demonstration facilities and other strategic activities.
Developing and implementing tenant engagement programmes and gathering feedback from tenants to identify areas for improvement and enhance BEIH’s value proposition.
Partnering with BCAA Marketing/BCA Comms teams to position BEIH as a hub for innovation and technology, curating success stories to showcase BEIH outcomes and promote its ecosystem vibrancy.
[What we are looking for]
A relevant degree from a recognised university. Qualifications related to Built Environment are advantageous.
At least 5-8 years of work experience in the Built Environment sector, programme development/training design, partnership development, account management or business development.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, and understanding of Built Environment sector dynamics and transformation trends.
Keen business acumen with demonstrated track record in managing stakeholder relationships, conducting negotiations and effectively influencing key decision makers.
Able to build and maintain positive stakeholder relationships and work in a dynamic, cross-functional team environment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and spoken
Independent and proactive individual with positive attitude, excellent work ethic, and a good team player.
