Company Overview   

Amperesand is disrupting industrial power with the first commercialized Solid State Transformer systems. Solid State Transformers systems are much more than a transformer replacement, enabling numerous advanced features to unlock solutions for data centers, EV charging, renewables, microgrids, and industrial installations. Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate global suppliers, negotiate and execute key contracts with strategic partners, and develop relationships with our vendors to secure high quality material at competitive prices 

  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to drive down cost, while taking into consideration and optimizing the total cost of material (base cost, tariffs, transportation, quality, time, etc...) 

  • Monitor and control inventory levels at the suppliers, at our manufacturer, and internally  

  • Analyze market trends, lead times, and material shortages to ensure that material is secured for our builds and appropriate levels of risk buying is accounted for that minimizes any potential production disruptions 

  • Support & develop the company's logistics strategy that facilitates the movement of material (both component level and finished product) internationally.  This will include developing a routing guide to select shipping modes, optimizing routes, and managing customs clearance processes 

  • Ensure and determine appropriate tariff codes to comply with relevant international trade regulations 

  • Build tools and processes to provide sourcing, material readiness, cost impact, cost reduction opportunities, risk analysis, and supplier development transparency. 

  • Work with the team to track key performance indicators (KPIs) that include delivery times, inventory turnover, and supplier performance to identify areas for further improvement 

  • Collaborate with all the cross functional teams, stakeholders, and the leadership team to provide visibility into the supply chain process and align with overall business objectives 

Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Engineering, logistics, business, or a related field.  A master's degree is preferred.  Ideally someone with experience sourcing electrical power products.  

  • 5+ years' experience in a mix of program management, supply chain and engineering fields with evidence showing an exceptional ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.  

  • Proven experience working in a supply chain organization focused on new technologies, the NPI process, in a startup environment. 

  • Strong knowledge of international trade regulations and customs processes.  

  • Demonstrated ability to work and lead cross functionally by managing teams / projects. 

  • Exceptionally strong communication and negotiation skills that demonstrate an ability to communicate visually, verbally and in writing.  

  • Experience working with engineering teams focused on electrical systems, power electronics, or other similar products in a manufacturing / production environment. 

  • Ability to work well under pressure while simultaneously managing competing priorities, challenges and risks.  Effective response to adapt to these competing priorities, risks, and program changes as needed and quickly.  

  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% including internationally 

Please note: This role requires working on-site 5 days a week. We do not offer hybrid or remote options.
