Job Description:

  • Comply with all Country, Corporate, Workplace’s Environment Safety & Health regulations and plant policies and procedures.

  • Involve in the development, implementation, and management of EHS programs and project for both Woodlands and Tuas Plant.

  • Assess EHS improvement opportunities in the workplace and implement sustainable and suitable EHS solutions to improve EHS results for the workplace.

  • Understand the requirements of 3M EHS Self-assessment plans and assist in the implementation of the plans in both Woodlands and Tuas Plant.

  • Involved in the development and conduct of training programs to educate workers in EHS knowledge in the workplace.

  • Set up record measurements that are essential for the establishment of EHS conditions – e.g. waste stream profile, Permit to Work system for safe work in the workplace.

  • Participate/lead in EHS investigation for incidents involving EHS non-compliance, near misses or injuries/illnesses. Determine the underlying causes and find appropriate strategies for prevention, mitigation and recovery from the incident.

  • Communicate results of any investigations clearly and truthfully to the management and the affected employees.

  • Participate in the EHS Management System internal and external audits, EHS Committee safety inspection, and EHS Committee promotional activities.

  • Continuously improve on EHS knowledge and relevant new technologies through attending seminars, courses, and networking with other EHS professionals

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering

  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply

  • Proficiency in English

Preferred qualifications that may further support success in this role include:

  • Accreditation in Environmental, Safety, or Health

  • Experience in leading a team or managing a project

Position location:

The position is based in Tuas plant and will lead projects and programs in both 3M Tuas and Woodlands plant.
